Mixed-Orientation Marriage - Quick Guide

Many people searching for information on a mixed-orientation marriage or relationship are new to the idea of a successful mixed-orientation marriage. Some couples who newly discover their marriage has a straight spouse married to a bisexual,gay or lesbian spouse are wondering what next?. It is important for these couples to have some idea of opportunities for growth presented to them. Not all such discoveries need to end in unresolved crises. I originally wrote The Transcending Boundaries Guide to Mixed-Orientation Marriages in 2012 as a printed educational resource to hand out at Transcending Boundaries Conferences. Apparently there is a real need for a concise introduction to mixed-orientation marriages as a number of counselors and other organizations put the brochure in their literature racks, on web sites and offered the guide as hand outs at their sexuality conferences. There is a lot of information packed into this two sided trifold brochure.

Time flies and 2012 became 2021 and some of the resources listed became outdated and it was time for an update. This updated brochure has new links and we have made a few other minor changes. The Transcending Boundaries conference was a fabulous opportunity for people whose sexual orientation , gender identity or ideas on sexual expression do not match the narrow binary boxes that society tries to stuff everyone in. While it has been several years since the last Transcending Boundaries Conference my hope is that it will return soon. Meanwhile I hope some find this short updated version of the Transcending Boundaries Guide to Mixed-Orientation Marriages helpful.
